Supporting the Family and Reproductive Rights
A headline in the Washington Post in 2013: “The U.S. ranks last in every measure when it comes to family policy.
Barack Obama that same year said: “Family leave. Childcare. Flexibility. These aren’t frills – they’re basic needs. They shouldn’t be bonuses – they should be the bottom line.” And Joe Biden a decade later stated “Let's also make sure working parents can afford to raise a family with sick days, paid family and medical leave, and affordable childcare that will enable millions more people to go to work.”
And yet, in 2025, we still have no federal paid Family Leave Program and we’re falling far short in other vital family programs.
